Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 May 2026

What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how ClarityCaddie (operated by Dynamics Tech Ltd) uses cookies and similar storage technologies on our web portal and marketing website at claritycaddie.com. It does not cover the ClarityCaddie mobile app, which uses on-device storage (SQLite and secure keychain) rather than web cookies.

This policy is framed under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. Similar technologies include browser localStorage and sessionStorage, which work in the same way but store data differently. Under PECR, the rules on consent apply to all such storage mechanisms, not only traditional cookies.

How ClarityCaddie uses cookies and similar storage

ClarityCaddie uses a minimal set of strictly necessary cookies and storage. We do not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or cross-site tracking. We do not sell data to or share data with advertising networks.

Strictly necessary cookies and storage

Strictly necessary cookies and storage are those without which the service cannot function. Under PECR, these do not require your prior consent, though we are required to inform you of their existence.

  • Authentication session (Supabase) — When you sign in, Supabase sets a session cookie to keep you authenticated. This is a first-party cookie, is not shared with third parties, and is removed when you sign out or your session expires. Without this cookie, the signed-in portal cannot function.
  • Error monitoring (Sentry) — ClarityCaddie uses Sentry for operational error tracking. Sentry does not set traditional cookies; it uses session-level JavaScript storage to associate error reports with a browser session. No personal information is stored, and data is not used for advertising or profiling. This is classed as strictly necessary for the security and reliability of the service.
  • Functional UI preferences (localStorage) — We store lightweight UI state (such as sidebar preferences) in browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party. It is strictly functional and does not identify you.

Non-essential cookies

ClarityCaddie does not use non-essential cookies.

Our website analytics are provided by Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless by design. Plausible does not set any cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track you across websites or apps. It is compliant with UK GDPR and PECR without requiring a consent banner. You can read more about how Plausible works at plausible.io/privacy-focused-web-analytics.

Third-party services on their own domains

Some links on this website take you to third-party services operating on their own domains. When you visit those domains, those services may set their own cookies. ClarityCaddie does not control the cookies set by third parties on their own domains.

  • Stripe (payment processing) — When you proceed to checkout, you are redirected to Stripe's secure payment pages at stripe.com. Stripe may set cookies on their own domain for fraud prevention and payment flow purposes. These are strictly necessary for completing a transaction. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.
  • Freshdesk (support portal) — Our support portal is hosted by Freshdesk at claritycaddie.freshdesk.com. If you visit our support portal, Freshdesk may set cookies on their domain to manage your support session. ClarityCaddie does not embed Freshdesk tracking scripts on claritycaddie.com. See Freshworks' privacy policy for details.

Managing cookies

Because ClarityCaddie only uses strictly necessary cookies and cookieless analytics, there are no marketing or advertising cookies for you to opt out of. You can, however, control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies via their settings menu (typically under Privacy or Security).
  • Blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as the Supabase session cookie) will prevent you from signing in to your ClarityCaddie account.
  • The ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) provides guidance on managing cookies in popular browsers.

Cookie categories under UK law

Under PECR, cookies are broadly divided into two categories:

  • Strictly necessary — Essential for the website to provide a service you have requested. These do not require your consent. ClarityCaddie only sets cookies in this category.
  • Non-essential — Cookies used for purposes beyond the strictly necessary delivery of the service — for example, analytics, advertising, or personalisation. These require informed consent under PECR. ClarityCaddie does not set any non-essential cookies.

Further information

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy (effective 14 May 2026), which provides full detail on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, and our Terms of Service (effective 24 May 2026).

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we use cookies, we will update this policy and the “last updated” date above. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
